International Online Course on New Energies and Sustainable Development

The Department of International Relations, in cooperation with the Latin America Center (CELA) at the University of Kassel and the Argentine Universidad Nacional de San Martín (UNSAM), is offering a free online course on new energies and sustainable development in Latin America for students and other interested participants.
The course is part of the SDG university cooperation project “Green Energies and Sustainable Resources”, funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The aim is to promote cross-border research and teaching on key issues of sustainable development and to strengthen international exchange between Europe and Latin America.
Topics include international energy and climate policy, the development of energy supply in Latin America, perspectives on electromobility, the hydrogen and lithium industries, sustainable value chains, and financing strategies for a socially just energy transition. A practical module supports the development of concrete project ideas related to regional development strategies. The course not only provides access to highly relevant content but also offers the opportunity to actively participate in a growing international network focused on energy, environmental, and development policy.
