Short-Bio
Marlen Ott is researcher and PhD-Candidate at the University of Kassel. She previously completed her Master's degree in Cultural and Social Anthropology at Philipps University Marburg, where she also studied Political Science and Comparative Cultural and Religious Studies for her Bachelor's degree. Her dissertation project "(Racialized) Difference and Plantation Labor Regimes" aims to identify processes of racialization and differentiation of migrant workers by empirically examining the labor regime of the plantation economy in Costa Rica.
