Umwelt und Entwicklung in globaler Perspektive. Ressourcen – Konflikte – Degrowth.

Environmental issues are gaining importance for international politics. In practice, however, ecological concerns often appear as paper tigers compared to the growth imperative. This book uses the example of raw materials policy to discuss the political, economic and social consequences of intensified raw materials exploitation and the associated socio-ecological conflicts. It also analyzes proposals for alternatives to the dominant growth model and offers suggestions for a readjustment of the concept of development.
